ever TOTALLY missed the "blue" stage?

so the other night i came home at like 3am, to find a huge, PERFECT shed in Zora's cage! the thing is, i wasn't expecting it AT ALL. i didn't see blue eyes, and i guess since he is a snow corn, i didn't notice his colors dull...because he doesn't really have any. it was weird to see a 100% perfect shed too, because it has been very cold here, therefor very hard to keep humidity up in my room because i've had to have the heater on so high. anyone else ever been surprised by a shed? does this happen with snows a lot?

my snows tend to be fed then next morning or day after i catch them either in the act or just wake up to a nice shed.

i notice with the others but the snow i never catch in blue, even my amel tends to often shed while i'm not paying attention(caught her looking pale yesterday so i know it's coming this time)
the amel took a while to get used to her color enough to notice when she's pale.

My friend has a snow and his eyes don't turn blue, they just get more cloudy looking prior to shed. She has noticed he gets less active right before a shed, so that tips her off more than anything.

Congrats on a perfect shed!! :D
