This is my new snake. Can't decide on a name. Thought of Edmund but I'm not sure. He's really horny so I thought of Randy.

This is more like what he really looks like though, the above picture had flash bu in natural light he's paler, more creamsicleish.

And I defrosted a mouse earlier and it had a cut belly. Hanging out were little babies. Anyone had that before?

Beautiful snake!

I had a female mouse not long ago that was prego. When I thawed her out you could count the babies inside. I think there were 10. I fed her to a gravid female cornsnake. Ironic huh. LOL

I wouldn't classify him as a Candycane. His base color isn't white.

Why exactly did you pull out the pinks? He would have just ate it.

Orange candycane, huh? I guess technically it's not lying or false advertising. An orange candycane would be a regular amel. This isn't aimed at the you, btw, and no offense intended. But whoever the seller is obviously has very low morals and practices "creative" labeling.

It's still a nice looking snake, but not a candycane. Hope you weren't charged extra for the "candycane" tag. If you were, you should get ahold of the seller.

I like the name idea, although not sure I want to know how you know he's horny, lol :sidestep:

I pulled out the pinks just to see how many there were, he never ate the mouse anyway, neither of my snakes are eating at present, because of spring fever I suppose.
I know he isn't technically a candycane, but he 'came from candycane breeding' as the seller said. I didn't pay extra for him, he was £50 which is less than the local garden centre for a normal amel. I can't make up my mind about him, do I like it? Would I have prefered a normal amel, which would have been brighter? Has he got creamsicle in him, as people have mentioned and which I thought too?

Oh, and you do get orange candycanes, they just have orange saddles instead of red, but they still have to have the white background. Maybe the seller is trying to breed his own line of candycanes, and this one of the not-yet-perfected results of his breeding.
