Your snake is older than me! That is a pretty cool story...did you ever think you would get him back?Hi All-
I just happenned on this site tonight. Thought this thread would be a great place to start. My corn is almost 23 years old. I got him as a baby in August of 1985. He spent his second summer as a wild snake. I was studying for class and had him out on a nice spring day while reading. Must have been a long chapter. When I looked for him he was gone and I searched the yard for hours. The following October, a neighbor across the street called me on a Sunday morning frantic. There was a strange snake in her yard. I ran over and sure enough it was him - identified by a scar he got from an encounter with a cat (4 stitches).
The rest of his life so far has been fairly unevenful and he now spends winters inside and his summers and warmer days in an outdoor enclosure I built for him. The picture I am posting is him in his summer home since the weather here has been nice.
He isn't large - I guess about 30" long. Some of his scales have lost more color in the past 5 years or so.
