I'm just curious if anyone has fed their corn anything other than mice/rats?
 
If you feed chicks, snip off the sharp bits first - beak & feet - to avoid accidents.

And do be prepared to evacuate the house come poop day. Because man oh man, chicks produce the smelliest Corn poop evah!
 
You know, its kinda fun if you leave the "sharp" bits on, as they are not digested and come poop day you get to find them in the poop.

I also feed Day old chicks, African Soft Furred Rats, I have not feed, but have on hand white-footed deer mice, I have feed some FT lizards to some lampropelti.
 
I've heard feeding chicks can increase the chances of the spread of salmonella. Any real truth to this?

just curious.
 
The type of salmonella carried by reptiles is distinguishable from the type carried by farmed poultry, so my guess is "no".
