Does she look like she is double clutching?

bekers71

What addiction?!
Just quick run down..

Eggs laid on April 14th
Post lay shed around April 30th
Still eating but smaller meals
She is blue and looks fat

I did NOT rebreed her because she is on the smaller side. And yes, she has pooped. LOL

Any thoughts?

Looks like she could be, she has that almost bloated look to her lower half... have you run her through your fingers to see if you can feel if she has eggs inside her?

I know some females will double clutch even without having a male reintroduced. Two of ours did last year. If you aren't sure, I'd give her a lay box just in case - that way she has it if she needs it, or she just uses it for a moist hide when she sheds. I'd also keep feeding her small meals for as long as she'll eat if she is carrying a second clutch.

Hmmmm, possibly....My suggestion would be to put a nest box in there, just in case, even if she is carrying slugs, it will give her somewhere comfortable to lay them :)

My ghostie girl has been cruising like crazy since she shed 11 days ago and today she completely refused her feed, so I've put a lay box back in with her, just in case. She does look a little plumper and as her first clutch has been hatching over the last 4 days the timing is about right, although I didn't re-breed her.

Good luck and best wishes,

PS Mrs InsaneOne beat me to it, I must have still been typing when she posted ;)

Thanks ladies. I put her lay box back in her tote to be on the safe side. This was her first year breeding and laid 13 lovely eggs. :)

Hi Becky, just wanted to come back in and say, I got up this morning to find my Ghost girl laying eggs, they look to be all slugs but she is comfortable in her lay box :) It is also her first year breeding and she laid 17 in her first clutch.

Good luck with your girl!
