I am thrilled now that Copper has laid and happily taken a small meal. It looks like I have 11 nice plump eggs, 1 slug, and 1 ??? (slegg or ugg perhaps). It was absolutely nervewracking just moving the clutch from laybox to incubator! I don't think my hands shook that much when I held my own kids for the first time...weird. Glad that's done.
Anyway should I do anything with the slug and slegg/ugg (whatever it is). As you can see they are pretty well attached in the center of the clutch. The slegg is actually a little squishy on the slug end, but nice and firm on the egg end. Any thoughts?
