Hello everyone I have been around here for a while. Until I found this site I was feeding my male corn who is over 4' Medium sized rats since the adult mice we get in at our store are only about 25g at most. Now i have never weighed the Medium rats yet at work but he never had a problem with them and size wise to girth ratio seemed right(1 1/4ish). My question is looking at the munson plan it says that any snakes over ? (I forget now what it was i just finished reading) should be on adult mice weighing 20-30g. So just wondering what i should be feeding him, since I want to make sure he gets enough but not to much since I don't want him to be over weight. Should i weigh the Medium rats and see how much they weigh. Feed him two of the adult mice at an aprox total weight of 50g or just feed one 25g mouse. I feed about ever 10 days give or take one day. Oh ya almost forgot one important piece of info he currently weighs 519g before feeding tonight.

Personally I feed my adult males on one mouse every 14 days now, or less often if they are in shed or in breeding mode.

A medium rat is probably too much. My adult males get a jumbo mouse from every 7-14 days depending on how large they are.

If he's extra large, which some are, then you could do two mice a feeding. One smaller mouse may not be enough. I'd try two mice every 10 days and see how that goes.
