Moving with a snake: good report

Hey all, just wanted to post encouragement for anyone facing a big move with your snake. We just drove 4000 miles over 12 days across country with our 7 month old corn, and he did fine. We were a little worried because he was just going blue the day before we left, but he shed pretty much right on schedule while we were on the road (with a little help).

Fortunately we had the room to keep him in his viv during the trip, and while he bounced around a good bit he didn't seem to mind. He was pretty hungry when we finally got home, though! Anyways, for you noobs out there who haven't had to make a big move yet with your snake, just know that at least ours traveled well.
 
That's great news!! I am moving from Indy to Florida in a few weeks and have been dreading the "snake" part of it. I think we will be keeping them in their viv's too. Good to know it went well for you!
 
I've been considering a move lately. It wouldn't be far, but I'd throw in a whole bunch more aspen as a shock absorber if I were to move my little girl in her viv.
