Savannah/Bosc Monitor; getting BIG.

Taxidermy

everything under the sun.
Okay, So I don't necessarily have any pictures at the moment, but I was just realizing how much my little monitor has began to grow. It's like he's hit a growth spurt. I feel bad for the little guy cause' it seems like he's ALWAYS shedding. He gets fed everyday, a very diverse diet from snails, super worms, crickets, feeder fish, and boiled egg. On special occassions he is fed one or two pinkies per month, but I don't want to over do it. At the moment he's sitting in my jacket pocket with half of his body hanging out. Ever since he was a baby, baby - he loved sleeping in my pocket or on my lap under a blanket. Now, as much as he loves sleeping in my pocket its obvious he can't fit any more and no matter how many times I try to take him out, he goes right back in. :) I never realized how much personality a reptile could have before I even got my monitor. Even now he's absolutely puppy-dog tame and loves to be rubbed, and scratched behind his ears, as well as his chin. c: Oh well, I just thought it was sort of funny that he still believes he's tiny, and can hide any where he wants. I'll be sure to get more pictures of him some other time. For the time being, i'll continue to be mama kangaroo.
