and this bite really appears to be nothing compared to what they can do but hey it still didn't feel very good lol. And I've always wondered when one of the two would get me. the video is on youtube or will be soon (uploading)

Oh come on, you call that a bite? :laugh01:
That's how Amazons say "I love you"....lol. I'm just kidding, it's never fun to get tagged but welcome to the club.

If you want to donate some blood, try an Emerald. Last time I was bit by one it looked like a triple homicide, and that was a un-coordinated off the cuff type strike. One thing I've always looked for was shed teeth, that way you always have a idea of just what your dealing with on the toothy end.

lol I've seen amazon teeth before when they ate. and I've seen pics of the emerald's teeth too. Yeah this bite was a full blown "gotch ya" bite it was just a lemme go half arse one.

Very cool looking snake..I really do want a GTP one day but at the same time..knowing that they have a high tendency to bite just really nerves me up..I jump when my hatchling corn tries to bite me..lol

A paper cut or skinning your knee hurts more than an Amazon bite. It's really no big deal, it looks messy but usually within a couple of minutes there's hardly a punctur mark to show off to your friends.

Emerald tree boas, well...that's another story.

yeah I was a bit surprised that it didn't hurt all that much it just surprised the crap out of me.

Most of the injuries I've sustained from bites result from my jerking away when I see the bite coming. If you leave my hand there and take my licks (avoiding them of course, whenever possible) the consequences are usually less severe.

It just adds to their "Charm" IMO...

agreed that's one reason I love keeping amazons is the attitude is half the fun! I've always managed to dodge em when they struck but this one I trusted a bit too much and paid for it lol. It's not hte pain I'm worried abotu with bites I'm just not used to gettin bit because it doesnt happen to me all that often.
