His name is Zeus (and my ATB's name is Hades), I've no idea on how old he is (well I shouldn't say he either, dont know the sex yet), He/She is not quite at but is pushing 3 feet, It was being fed live 21 day old rats, He was fed today before I picked him up and you may notice the lump in him.

Is anyone able to answer if he is a BCI or BCC?

Thanks.

Hes a lovely BCI :)

Probably an 07 due to his size, but then he may be an early 08 thats been feed a bit too often.

How often are you going to feed him? Remember with Boas, less is more. They grow at a much steadier pace if fed less frequently than recommended.

Thanks Tula_Montage, for telling me he/she is a BCI!I think for now ill feed him every six days. Hes apparently been eating a 21 day old rat every two weeks but he looks pretty big, Im suprised they said hes been feeding every two weeks.

Actually that is a good schedule for a boa that size. No need to feed it that often. If its eating once every 10 days, just leave the schedule as that.
The only time I have fed a boa that often has been one that came to me out of a rescue and was skin and bones, you literally could count the ribs on the snake.
Elle has given pretty sound advice. Less is always better with a boa. As they get older, you can feed them every 2-3 weeks.

We tend to forget that in the wild these animals would be lucky to get a meal at least once a month or so.

Congrats!!
I cant wait until I get my boa... Im hoping for a red tail one of these days, but I cant let myself buy one until I know I can commit to taking care of him for his whole life. Once I get securely into my new career maybe I can splurge

Much better pics and a few questions:

Thanks for the advice tricksterpup, I'll try to feed only every 8-10 days or so. I have another question though concerning heat, if the basking spot is 100.. is that ok, or too much? I bought a 150 watt heat lamp to create a basking spot cause the tank is pretty tall. According to the thermometer (the round ones) the temperature on the floor at the basking spot is 100 and on the cool side is 83. I'm pretty sure its off though, I put my and directly under the lamp and it feels maybe 95. Im asking because maybe its too hot because the snake has spent all his time pretty much in the hide, is this because its too arm or because its a new enviroment or maybe cause he just ate yesterday morning? anyways here are some much better pictures:
