Slugs or Fertile??

Jadie.Glitch

How do I know if the eggs my snake laid are slugs or fertile? None of them were slimey and yellow so either I got a full clutch of fertile eggs or I got a bunch of slugs. She DID mate so I am hoping they are fertile, but I have no way of telling since this is my first time... Thanks!

Here they are:

This was a suprise clutch out of a new snake that I JUST got so I was really unprepared... I am taking measures to keep them warm but I think they may have already gotten too cold at some point. There were 31 altogether! I hope some of them make it ~_~...

Happy Huge Surprise to you!! Those look beautiful and fertile!! Good luck and, please let us know how it goes. Wow; 31 is a lot.

Definitely look fertile to me, too! Thirty-one eggs is really a big clutch, too--lucky you!

Wow, thanks! I am SOO hoping they hatch and everything goes well... For future reference though, what does a slug look like? Are they the ones everyone has been speaking of that look yellow and slimy? Or are we talking two completely different things?

slugs are usually smaller than good eggs and a little more football shaped. They are a tan yellow colour and stay slimy where as good eggs dry and turn white. You'd spot the slugs right away if there were any.
