Birthday present for myself

ArpeggioAngel

Around Here Somewhere....
I have a friend in from out of town this week visiting and she wanted to go get tattoos while here. I already have four but have been itching to get another one...

There is a chain down here called Atomic Tattoos and you can look up online the artists and their portfolios. We found a guy at the one right up the street by the name of Irish (he is from Ireland) so we went and got quotes earlier in the week and last night went and got them done. He was an absolute hoot and for a big "scary" looking tattoo guy - had a real gentle hand when it came down to business.

She ended up just getting a previous tat fixed up because it was really bad and I finally got myself a new one!

So early happy birthday to me!

I love dragonflies (never got into the butterfly-craze, dragonflies any day!)! Beautiful tattoo! I love the wings, too -- the "stained glass"/iridescence really comes through. I have plans for my 3rd, as well...just about as addicting as corn snakes, right? :)

Yeah, I still have a couple more I want to get, but a dragonfly was high on my wish list for tattoos. I found a design online that I liked and he tweaked it a bit to my personal taste. I also wanted something with some color as my others are just plain black.
I love dragonflies and can often be found at the park taking pics of them - they remind me of little flying jewels.

You would die, sitting out at my water garden. Except they are mostly all one species. But they are very friendly! Except to other species I'd like to ID.

I have a dragonfly book - I will have to bring it up with me some weekend.

Still need to get myself a snake tattoo and a native american styled one.

Scared me there for a second, myspace told me your birthday wasn't untill the 6th!
Very pretty I love the colors, can't wait to see it when it heals up!

I've been seriously craving a tattoo lately, and this certainly isn't helping. Especially the subject matter. I'm pondering either a black in, scientific rendering style tat of an atlas beetle with spread wings on my back... or something serpentine in nature around foot/ankle (not sure of style though). Thing is, I don't have ANY yet... so I'm completely over-annylizing and obsessing. LOL!

Yours is BEAUTIFUL!!!

Lookin good Katie. I like that stained glass look.

I've got one on each tricep that are 27 and 28 years old and faded that I want covered but haven't found anyone local that I'd trust to do them. I'd like one done by Chris Garver and the other Darren Brass from Miami. I've got the image in my head, but can't put it on paper, my artistic talent is limited to stick figures :awcrap:.
