UTH or no UTH

NFS07

Stolen
I set up a new home for my boy and right now I don't have a UTH attached. The temp of the "warmer" side ranges from 77 to 81 and the "cooler" side ranges from 70 to 75ish. Do you think I need a UTH right now? The warmer side ranges the most because it's next to the door but for the most part some how it's the warmest.

Attached are photos of the tub set up. the side with the water bowl is the "cooler" side and the side with the log is the "warmer side.

The reason I ask is because I want to make sure everything will go right with the feeding. I fed today and put him in the tub how it is. I closed the door and windows to try and raise the temp some but I could still go back and add the UTH later if you all think I need too. Please let me know your thoughts.

Thank you.

I think turn it on and leave it up to the snake. Cheerio doesn't always "go warm" after eating but still does sometimes.

I agree, turn it on and let the snake decide. I have one and with the current outside temps hitting 108 plus degrees my snake is content enough to chill under his water dish. And no he is not out side, but in my bedroom which still tops out at about 90 degrees during the day.

I don't have one attached at the moment.

*cough* if your temps are 90 you don't need a UTH.

yeah i know that but the cage is always cooler then my room because it sits near the door that i have a fan sucking the A/C into now.
