How long till out after slit

Ok so Friday night my first corn snake slit its egg open, but so far I have not seen it poke its head out and it is still in the egg as of last night. I did check last night to see if it was alive and it did move when I tried poking it with a pencil. How long should I wait before opening the egg more so I can see if there is something wrong with it that it can't get out?

It usually takes 24 - 48 hours til they feel comfortable to come out plus they need that time to absorb the rest of their yold sac :) It is usually closer to 24 hours but some do take abit more time. Good luck with your babies :)

Ok thats good to hear as I didn't realize it took that long the first one did come out actualy right after I posted this thred this morning. One perfect looking little normal. Also a second one has pipped as well and has had his head pokeing out for abir. I would post pictures but I left my camera in the rain a couple weeks back and even after letting it dry out it will not work.(really upset about that was an annivarsary gift from my husband on our first)
