ok i got a new 08 snow motley not even a week ago. and when i turn his night moonlight on he doesnt come out at all. but when i turn that light off he comes right out and is roaming all over the place, is that normal? my other two corns have no problem with the night lights and it dont bother them, so im just guessing is that he is just shy. what do u all think?

If you are using the light so you can see them at night use a red light, they can't see red, so they think they are still in the dark. Be causious though the red lights put out some heat, so watch temps.

I think they can see red light. I have red LED's lighting my snake's viv that I turn on at night so we can see into the viv. When I am outside the viv lit by only the red light she reacts to my movement.
I think you're right Susan, she perceives it as night or near night. She is still more active at night, even with the red lights.
One caution, the red light makes her colors look like crap. It doesn't really show her off well but at least we can see her.
