Garter from my yard

I caught this little Northwestern garter snake as I was going down the steps of my front porch so I just brought him in, took a few pics, took him back outside and let him go again. It's nice to know they are so abundant around here. Maybe he knew it was feeding day?

I've seen this snake, or another one just like it, in my yard before but I wasn't fast enough to catch it last time. They sure do musk when you pick them up too! This guy painted my arm with his tail :puke01:
