Ok, here goes....A few weeks ago I got a quad, 1.3, of ASFR's (African Soft Furred Rats) and have seen over the last week, what I would would call mating behaviour, ie the male chasing the female around the tank (boy have they got some energy...lol), on three seperate occaisions, different female each time.
Anyway my question is....How long does the actual "act" take, as it seems like he's about to get in "position", she stands still, then he backs off and they both clean themselves. Is that it? Does it only take a millisecond for him to impregnate the female, or has he not perfected his "technique" yet?...lol
Can anyone tell me if the deed is done and I should be expecting babies in a couple of weeks?
Thanks in advance,
