Megabanded hatchlings

Kokopelli

Resident Boa Fanatic
This was my first breeding attempt and I must admit it was a fascinating experience, especially with this amazing couple.
The male is a friend's, a ThayeriX Mexicana Mexicana. The female is mine, a PyromelanaXThayeri.

I was told that the original line for these hybrids was called "Megabanded" but the dealer who sold them(they were called AA Reptiles I think?) isn't around anymore.
The couple proved to be fertile indeed, and 6 eggs were laid. Sadly only 5 hatched, the sixth was a slug I think.

4 out of the 5 hatched, the fifth is pipping but as I had the chance to upload the pics to the pc, I'll just post pics of the four.

Soooo... Here we go:

Hatchling #1

Hatchling #4 (and possibly my favourite)

Kind of sad I won't get to keep all of'em... only 50%(my friend deserves the other 50% as it is his male).
But... I am still quite happy

Thanks for looking!

Oren.

Thank you!
Actually the babies have tons of potential, they aren't showing off their true colors yet- they haven't gone through their first shed yet...
but they seem to be white rather than gray.
The most remarkable one is the last one IMHO, he is white with rich brown saddles, and the black head is cool.
BTW, the white babies have alot of black on their tummies.

Cool babies! #1 and #2 reminded me of thayeris because of the pattern. I think #1 is my favorite.

Congrats on a group of great looking hatchlings. I really love the look of number 3 and am looking forward to the post shed pics!

So... I had to part with #1 and #3 sadly... but fair's fair, the dad's owner deserved half of the clutch.
However I am keeping the other two plus another fifth hatchling I did not manage to take pics of yet.
I will post some pics after shedding etc...

I liked the third one, admittedly, but... as I have his brothers and the mother, I should be able to produce some babies in the future with such coloration- wish me luck!
