Baked Branches?

I remember someone saying you could put cut branches in the oven to de-bug them...does any body how hot I should set the oven?and for how long?:)

I believe the temp is 200F, but the length of time...not sure on that one. I guess until a toothpick placed in the center comes out clean? j/K

Probably half an hour or so should kill any bugs. If you start to smell it, take it out!

200-250 is good. I ususally leave them in for 45 minutes or so, just to make sure they get heated all the way through.

I wrap wood in aluminium (cooking) foil, before baking, as I was told it helps to stop the edges from burning, it's worked for me so far :)

Now THAT is a good idea! I don't typically bake mine for fear of catching the house on fire, but I'm loving this idea!!
