Pics will follow later today.

I took my adult spotted python out last night and carried him arond for awhile. Then I put him in his feeding bin. If he's hungry that usually switches him into eating mode. At that point anything is fair game.

Well I dangled the dead mouse in front of him and dropped it off the tongs. He was looking my direction but his head was a good 10 inches away. Usually he won't strike more than a couple inches. Anyway, I reached in to grab the mouse and he came flying across and grabbed my middle finger. I jerked my hand back and pulled him part way out of the bin and he promptly let go. Whew! That could have been much worse. I swear he's really smart and knows that he bit me by mistake. So there I was dripping blood and he's starting to scoot across the basement floor. So I dangle the mouse in front and get him to latch on and that was it.

Sorry for the long post.

It probably sounds worse than it was. It only hurt right when it happened. And he only left a couple of neat rows of tooth marks.

My wife did the same thing with one of the Hogg Island Boas. She dropped the rat and reached in to pick it up. She had a Boa on her arm for half an hour. I enjoyed it much more than she did. :grin01:

haha wade your sick.. lol. but i would definitely laugh if one of my snakes got someone else..

I cut my finger on Bacon's tooth this morning when I was checking to see if he'd melted after all the AC problems yesterday. It freaking hurts! When I slid out his viv and was looking for him, there he went, out the bin and up the rack. Somehow I got stuck on a tooth when I grabbed him, and it sliced about 1/4 inch of my finger. I don't think he bit me. Although I wouldn't put it past him ever since he escaped and went feral.
