the Gopher Hole-creepy....yet i can't look away

bella

mmm zombies....
a few weeks ago we went to visit family in Alberta, and there was a town nearby called Torrington, advertising a placed called the "Gopher Hole". so we went and it is this large room filled with actual dead gophers. it was kind cute because it was run by this little old ladies and only cost 50 cents to 2 dollars to get in. this place was actually mentioned in one the the Uncle Johns Bathroom reader books as a weird place to visit in Canada, and that is was. yet it was also hillarious, so enjoy.

Those are too cute. I remember when I was growing up, we had gophers in our back yard for many years. We'd try catching them but were never successful. Thanks for showing us those pics.

oh my lord..rofl...that is the weirdest, yet funniest thing..lol
I'll have to show my kids these pics when I get home tonight :)

And my friends and co-workers think snakes are a weird hobby:D

I off to work for the day! Catch ya'll later:D

That's freakin' hilarious!! A little odd, to be certain...but funny as all get out!

And the attention to detail is actually astounding. Those ladies paid very close attention to the tiniest details to make those things look that good. Truly artistic...in an odd, twisted, picking-up-roadkill-for-fun kind of way...

They're probably trapped out of pastures. When I was in MN, there was still a bounty on them, something like 50 cents for two front feet. (Had to have both feet). Farmers HATE them; their extensive tunnelling can tip over a tractor and kill someone, as well as breaking th leg of any horse or cow that happens to step into a hole, or break through into a tunnel. My farmer neighbor across the road taught me how to trap them.
