Daytona pics--slide show

That's "lin-NAY-ah"
Well, what a trip--whew!! Saw so much, met some great people, had a super time...what more can I say?? My only regret is that a) I didn't get to meet everyone personally, and b) that I flew down. Later on that. Oh, and I took a boatload of pics and put them into two slide shows:

Just click on the photo if you want to see it in regular slide-show format; you can also get a better closeup that way.

What a great bunch of corn-y people--so glad I went! As I said, I only regret flying. On the way down, we sat in the plane on the tarmac an hour and a half--dead battery. And on the flight back, they lost oil pressure in one engine, shut it down, and we had to make an emergency landing in Charleston, SC. The airline decided to bus everyone to Charlotte, NC, and I said to myself, "Like H E double L will I do that, I'm driving home!", and I did. Took 3-1/2 hours. God only knows when (or even IF) I would've made it home otherwise. :realhot:

Hope you enjoy the show!

First off I can not believe I missed meeting you! You were at Don's table taking picture while I was there and I missed you! Unbelievable! Great pictures and nice job with the slideshow. Sorry about your flight issues. Thanks for sharing it makes me feel like I was there.

Sorry to hear about the trouble with the flights - but glad you made it home ok. Also sorry that we didn't get a chance to meet up. Maybe next time!

Cool!! I loved his expression and just had to snap a quick shot; sorry it came out so blurry! Glad I got your daughter in there, too. I'm also glad you enjoyed the photos; thanks!

Thanks--I just wish I'd gone around the room at the dinner and introduced myself so I could meet everybody! Like you said...next time!

Terri--! I am so bummed about not meeting you!! :awcrap: Well, there's always next year, right? I'm glad the pics cheered you up! If you ever come down yonder here, hope you'll look me up!

Great pics. Lol I knew from your story it had to be U.S. Air even before I saw the slideshow. Again, super pics. I'll try to make it next year.

Wow, those slide shows were amazing, thank you so much for posting them! :)

They give a real sense of what it must be like to be there in person, I will show my Hubby in the morning, he will love them, I'm sure :D

Thanks again!

Great pics. Thanks for sharing them with those of us who were not lucky enough to be there in person.

I can't believe the size of that show. My local reptile expo I can go through and see everything and every vender in 30 minutes tops! I'd go GAGA at a show that size.
Thanks again.

I'm glad everyone's enjoying the shows! On hindsight, I wish I'd taken more photos of a few more things. I also didn't bring the camera to the dinner--thought I would have had time to run to the room and get it, but didn't work out that way. And I was *definitely* gaga--plus I was on my feet nonstop for literally six hours straight!

I'm use to being on my feet. That wouldn't have been the problem. The problem would have been not buying the first snake I saw and waiting to see what all the vendors had to offer!

Very nice slideshows and beautiful pics! In the 2nd slideshow right after Rich, you took pics of Salmon Ghosts? Salmon Snows? Then after that was Tessera corn? Whats up with the new names????? Are these legit genes/names for a certain morph or are they for selling purposes?? Thanks for any help and again, GREAT pics :) Wish I was there! Lindsay

Tessera is a new gene. KJ proved it out. http://tinyurl.com/6xo5fs

Right--not for sale at this time!

The "salmons" were named by the breeder, Jim Stelpflug, as he told me, "on the way to the show"--he wanted to differentiate them from "coral". Very apt description. He told me that he has been breeding selectively for the high pinks.
