Aimee & Leon
Until my fiance and I could find an apartment, a friend of ours was taking care of our cornsnake. He's been taking care of him for about 1.5 months in a glass tank with a latch (to keep it from opening), with a heat lamp, water bowl, and tons of hiding spaces (rock, half logs, branches, etc.).
Anyway, after Leon and I found an apartment, we went to go pick him up last night to bring him to the new place to get settled in. Unfortunately, when I removed the lamp and the weights holding down the screen, I found that Wendell wasn't in the enclosure. I slowly sifted through EVERYTHING and he wasn't in there....
We looked through the whole house - all closets, in folds of clothes, behind and around the fridge, stove, and dishwasher, in the bathrooms, behind book cases, around the fireplace, between couch pillows - everywhere you could possibly think. However, we didn't have any luck at all.
When I first joined this forum for research prior to buying a corn, I remember seeing that people were making contraptions to trap their corn. I think it had to do with a bottle and having a F/T mouse at the end... but I don't remember exactly how it went. I did a search and couldn't find it.... does any one know what I'm talking about? It's like a snake trap... I don't know how else to explain it. But if anyone can tell me how or link me to it, I'd be very grateful.
I'll be heading to my friend's place after work to set those up and do some more digging around.
Thanks all, and please pray we find him!
