Anyone living along the Gulf of Mexico needs to keep an eye on this guy. Expected to have 120mph winds when it gets INTO the warm waters of the Gulf of Mexico.....

Yeah, I saw this on the news this morning. Looks like it could get pretty serious. Here's hoping that the weather people are wrong and it doesn't get that bad.

If it comes to South Texas, we are up a creek. Some parts of South Texas have had nearly 20" of rain in the last week and a half. Most of South Texas has had at least 5". Any more and there aint no where for it to go. There are farm fields that I have never seen standing water in and they have a foot of water in them right now.

Well, with Global Warming we can expect more and more stronger hurricanes than before. I hope this one will be nothing serious, and no one will get hurt.

Yeah, most of Florida is still soggy from when Fay went through. Might be time to start thinking about building an ark.....

Woo, I hope it's nothing serious.
Thank god, I moved to NC to stay away from Florida...

I remebered Charley, worst one I've been through....
We were near to the edge of the eye, and
it past us to Punta Gorda. It was bad there.

Right now, we are getting ALOT of rain from FAY today, and
expected more tomorrow, and all this week.
We need it bad.

From what I've heard, one of the tracks will take it right into New Orleans again...

Hurricanes come and hurricanes go... I just hope everyone stays safe.

I did Disaster Relief in 1997 on Guam after Typhoon Paka (They call it a typhoon on the other side of the international date line). The devastation there was unbelievable.

Just - stay - SAFE!

Oh jeez..
When I woke up, I noticed something's different.
I went outside, there is FLOOD!
We live by the river, but we are like about 40 to 50 feet away from river, and
about 20 feet high away from it, but now, it's very close to our house.
It's like 10 feet away from our house, and we are really worried...it's CRAZY!
The flood is nearly to the top of the ceiling of the bridge, I believe that this is the
first time it happens here. I took bunch of pictures of it, man it's crazy!

Wow! Can you leave?? The rivers here are supposed to flood too, but I am nowhere near them. Do you have a two story house??

No, I don't have 2 story house..
We are leaving on vacation to Alabama to visit my grand parents tomorrow.
It's not because of the flood, it's because my grandmother do not feel good.

I hope it don't get higher.

I have bunch of stuff..which I can't leave with which included snakes, xbox 360, TV, and such.....I am spoiled.

When I clicked on the thread I was expeting a Hurricane cornsnake by the name of Gustav.
This is not the nice like a corn.

I hope everything goes well for the people who live there.

Well, I think you should stay home or delay your trip in case you have to evacuate. People and animals really do drown in floods.

Well, it wasn't really up to me.
Everybody here is going to alabama to visit my grandparents.
We have to, before something happens..
