Well, I've seen people asking for pictures of other people's snakes, so I thought I'd post the first pictures of MY first snake.

His/her father is Amelistic(sp?), 100% white with what looks like just a tinge of green around the edge of each scale. The mother looks just like my snake.

I had trouble coming up with a name for my snake. I've had him (I'm gonna just call the snake a him since there's no way of knowing for me, don't any ladies take offense ok? lol) for about a week and a half now and was just calling him "buddy" because I hadn't thought of a name for him. Well, his name is now Buddy.

So...

Here's Buddy!

Buddy in his home. He's next to the water dish in the top left corner.

Buddy's first meal. Well, third actually, but first that I gave him.

cute :)

not sure on the morph but its not Amelanistic !
but it IS pretty :)

and buddy is as good a name as you need for your snake

Buddy looks like an amelanistic to me as well. From your description, Buddy's father sounds like a snow, not an amel. And if Mom looks like Buddy, than she is also an amel, making Buddy amel het for snow (just in case you wanted to know).

I agree with Susan. "Buddy" is an amelanistic, and the sire sounds like a snow corn. That would make "Buddy" het for anerythristic as well.

Susan and Darin, you are both absolutely correct!

"Buddy" is the baby of our Amel female-who lacks a lot of white and appears "sunglowish" and our Snow male.

I am interested to see if these babies develop deminished white like their mom or take the more "classic" amel look.

Congrats on your new baby! They are so much fun!

I just got a new baby normal and watched him eat his first meal with me! It's amazing tto me that they can eat even pinkies!

Oh! Ryce was a "him" even before I just recently had him sexed (after having him a year and half) and it turned out I calling him was a good thing, since he was afterall a male.

My new normal is also a male, which will only help in naming him!

Post more pictures. :)
