just got my first batch of babies! need help!

hey my mouse just gave birth not too long ago to about ten babies. But what i want to know is if i disturb them will she eat the babies? i think she was a previous mother before i had her because she had nipples but was not pregnant. she has another lady mouse in with her which seems to be helping her out with the babies. anything i should know to make sure these babies live? help is appreciated.
 
try and not disturb them for at least 24 hrs, if she is not used to you yet there is a risk she will eat them. I have a few different mums some I can pretty much check straight away but others even if they see me sneaking a look they will move the babies straight away.

I currently have 6 mums that have all given birth in the last few days.

Are you breeding them for pinkies or adults
 
well i am going to keep these babies that she just had and let them grow up.. i have had a female with the mum since i got her.... so my plan is when the babies grow up hopefully i will have a couple of males and they will want to breed with the female that was with the mum and then the breeding process can keep going so i dont have to buy pinkies any more. once i get another batch of babies then i will start freezing them and saving them to get more of a breeding success if that makes any sense at all. lol

Female mammals are born with nipples (heck, some male mammals have them, look at humans for example). They don't magically appear and disappear. ;)

The best thing you can do to prevent cannibalism is leave the mother alone until you're ready to take the offspring.
