A new sunset cross

Kokopelli

Resident Boa Fanatic
2 and a half months ago I brought home Spiritus, a Hogg isle hypo (suspecting super) X Salmon (suspecting super) BCI...
Of course due to the fact that I saw his brethren, parents and the sheer wonder of these orange boas I decided to bring another one over. I thought about waiting 'till next year but suddenly I was contacted by one of the few people who bought a sunset cross(not super salmon for a certainty) last year- said keeper is a friend of mine and due to a financial jam she had to sell her(lost her job).

so... I decided to go for it! she is selling her at around half the price she paid and I feel kind of bad so I told her after we agreed on the payment arrangement that she will be getting one of offspring I will produce in the future... I don't think it's a nice experience to have to sell an animal you love due to financial issues... and as these snakes are so expansive here... (easily costing around 2000-2500$) and the fact she is losing quite a bit... I though it's only fair to allow her a chance to get one of the future babies for free...

She is his sibling, a 2007 baby... so in two years time they should hit the sexual maturity mark... of course it may not go so smoothly but it still puts me at a better starting point than getting a female next summer.

I will put her pics on Thursday, she is very orange :p
I know she is not a full sunset because her tail's boarders have black in them... something my male lacks... it's one of the marks of a super salmon...
if my suspicion is correct their babies will be 50% full sunsets, 50% sunset cross...
also, they are both poss het for kahl strain albinism... so if I am extremly lucky, I may end up making rather unique sunglows.

here is a pic of Spiritus:

thank you all for the compliments! Spiritus is all smug...
