I promised to keep you posted on the Mexicana babies.
two of the five left to the male owner's home(we split it 3 and 2)
one of the three I kept was about half the size of his siblings. He was tiny and rather thin. Sadly, he died, at one month of age.
I was quite devastated, it's no fun to lose one of the babies from your first hatch ever:
I miss him lots... :awcrap:
On a better note though, the other two have underwent a successful shed and after around 6 weeks finally started to eat pinkies!
All I can say is, that I am stunned to see the insane outburst of color change they went through in only one shedding cycle:
Here is the first little fellow, named Poker
two days of age:
a week ago:
Now his brother, Blackjack, was even more surprising. He hatched last and was Grey with very little hint of orange around the face... he looked like his brother basically.

the more recent pics weren't taken by me... sorry that they are of a not so great quality... but the colors are still visible I think.
I wonder what the next shed will bring
