Mice! They taste so nice!
The coastline where we stayed was showing its volcanic origins with scary jagged rocks and only a few sandy areas. Of course, I had to pursue the marine creatures, and found a little purple jellyfish, some little blennies and gobies vigorously defending their territories from my toes, little crabs, limpets and top shells in the rock pools.
The pools were not as populated as I'd hoped, but then there wasn't much in the way of seaweed etc, probably because the swell was quite violent here even when the weather was fine, and I found crusts of dried salt in the pools that had baked dry in the sun. (Apparently in the past the Phoenicians dried and traded sea-salt from Ibeza)
