Some of my Non-Snake Pets

Thought I would share some pictures of my lizard friends.

sylvester1.jpg

This is Sylvester, a male Desert Banded Gecko I caught this summer. He and his girlfriend, Chloe, have adapted quite well to captivity.

stumpy2.jpg

This is Stumpy. He is a Crested Gecko with no tail that was given to me the other day. Other than not having a tail...he's really cool...
stumpy1.jpg

Stumpy shares this enclosure with Gilbert, another Crested with no tail that belongs to my girlfriend.

osiris1.jpg

This is Osiris, a brown anole that was given to me. I don't know the sex for sure, but I thought male...

isis1.jpg

This is Isis, another brown anole that shares an enclosure with Osiris.

Thanks for Looking!

I was reading today that almost no cresties in the wild still have their tails. So, you can just say he's a "wild phase"!!!

How do you like them though? I've been toying with getting one lately.

Nice pics! A crestie breeder told me a couple shows ago that it's the females that lose their tails the most frequently.

These guys are AWESOME! I'm not a huge lizard fan, but there are a few that strike me. I like desert geckos, anoles and now these guys. When my girlfriend was toying with the idea of bringing Gilbert home from the Anaheim show, I was un-impressed. "Just another mouth with legs" was what I thought. But that little dude grew on me quickly. So quickly, in fact, that when the opportunity to bring home another one came up...I JUMPED at it.

I definitely plan on getting a large aquarium and a breeding trio of these little guys, just for fun. They are very entertaining and beautiful to look at, IMO...

Thanks, everyone, for the commonets!
