Pongo the magnificent (amazon basin ETB)

toyah

Snakes in designer genes
Do you remember when Pongo was just red and yellow? Well, he's a grown-up now :)

Apart from one orange scale on the back of his head, he's all green now, and getting some beautiful black speckling which just seems to intensify the colour. He's still getting more and more white as he grows ... he's just a perfect example of his species.

And he's still tame, docile, easy to handle, and I haven't been bitten yet!

Hanging round in his house (he's in a 2 foot cube herptek viv)

Being handled

Drinking water from his coils after being sprayed

Having a lie down to show off his white stripe.

Obligatory macro shot

He is a stunning boy Toyah.... I love the way they drink off of their scales......
You are one lucky girl to have that guy around the house......

Pongo IS magnificent! What a beauty he is! I think all the shots were great (black background was my favorite). Congrats on having Pongo!

He is awesome! The first picture reminds me of Kaa from the "Jungle Book" disney movie.
Thanks for sharing him with us.
