Do any of your snakes have really strange eating habits?
My '05 jungle corn always "plays" with his food before eating it. He is on large f/t mice, and refuses to eat them anywhere BUT in his cage, so I usually put the mouse on a large flat dish to avoid laying it right on the substrate. But he will pick it up by the middle and whiz around the tank, carrying it in his mouth. He'll also chew all over it for several minutes prior to swallowing it, and will lay with his head on the mouse as well. It's the weirdest thing. Most of my others will either constrict the dead mouse or just swallow it down right off the tongs.
But not Rio.
