I was looking online to get some more UTH was considering getting the dragon's lair 7watt but wasn't sure if that would be enough heat? BTW the tank is split in 2, so basically 2-10gallon tanks. Also can someone mention the thermostat that has 3 probes I tried searching but it always takes the 3 out. Thanks for any info.

This is for corns right? I really like the Ultratherm UTH I have. It's on the Bean Farm website, easy to google. As for a thermostat with three probes, I'm not sure.

Yes it's for 2 08's and I forgot all about bean Farm I'll have to go check it out. thanks

I think oneof the Herpstat models can use multiple probes, I think one has 2 and one has 4, but they are pretty expensive.

As for the UTH, the dimensions are probably more important than the wattage. Most UTH's get far too hot anyway so low wattage is usually not an issue.

From what I've been told, they need to be the same wattage to hook up to the same thermostat, if I remember correctly. So that would be the only important thing as far as wattage goes. And I've been just fine with a rheostat hooked up to my Ultratherm UTH, it doesn't get nearly as hot as my old zoo med one did. So 2 Ultratherms and 2 rheostats might be cheaper, if you'd want to go that route. =)
