Helix or any other Thermostat

Am building a snake rack! i do have photos. but you cant see till its done:cool: and that is with heat. so i need to know. Unlike a "Johnson Thermostat" or a "Ranco thermostat" that come power strip. I guess that means "Pre Wired". how do you Wire a Helix? or do they come wired? how hard is it. and which one do you think is the best? Sites/photos.

I don't know about Helix, but Herpstats come with a three-outlet extension cord thing already wired, and now you can get them with either grounded (three-prong) or non-grounded (two prong) outlets. I haven't seen the new grounded model yet, but that would have been nice for my rack, since the heat tape was grounded so I had to buy adaptors. I like the Herpstat Night Drop, not because of the night drop feature, but because of high/low alarms.

Wow, never heard of it, sounds interesting, I just wish there was more info. about how it works. I just may have to try one! thanks for the link!

Looking at the cheapie Big Apple T-Stat; it's doesn't say it's proportional, so it can be assumed that it's on/off...And I'm personally not a fan of T-Stats that aren't digital.
