Dark Spots?

Suzy

Shazoooooo!
I have been meaning to ask this for a while, but haven't been able to get any good pictures lately. So, I did today.
My question is, i've noticed that my corn has dark spots close to his ventral scales (it's pretty much in the intersecting scales between his ventral and side scales) and i'd just like to know if this is normal? I'm pretty certain that they're not ticks or mites, because they never move (and when he was just in shed, they were a paler color - pretty much a blue/black) but I hadn't noticed them when I first got him. So, can anybody tell me if there's anything that I need to worry about? Thanks! :)

Mine has the same kind of spots on their ventral area. I couldn't determine if it was a mite or whatnot and the snake wasn't soaking or anything. I took her to the vet and sure nuff it was just coloring.

There are only two black spots on her and she is a normal stripe so it was odd but all turned out well. Hope that's all it is for you.

Oh, cool! :) I'm fairly certain that it's the same thing in my case. Like I said, they haven't moved, so i'm pretty sure it's just coloring. I also keep him on paper towels, and have yet to see a mite on any of the paper towels. *Knock on wood*
Thanks for your help! :) You've kind of kept my mind at ease about it.
