Why some corns burrow under the substrat & others don't??
Rio doesn't, Anni doesn't but Tanzi, the largest does, went serching for him last night, found him on the cool side & he felt really cold. In case you ask, the temp is ok, (i think) 85 ish. He isn't a shy snake either, very easy to get him out & calm when out.

Personally, I would chalk it up to personality differences. I only have one corn, but sometimes he likes to burrow, other times not. I like to give him a nice deep substrate and he has three hides, so he can go where he likes depending on his mood.

I've got corns that burrow, and I've got some that prefer sitting on top of their hides. It all depends on the snake. Just a different personality trait!
