hi, just got a new baby corn,

So i hear the eyes go cloudy, then they clear, then the shedding begins within 24 hours.

I always have a fresh water bowl out (Change water every day right?)

Is there anything else I need to do after his eyes clear?
Soak in water?
Mist with a bottle?

I usually give them a soak in their feeding tubs, with just a little water in the bottom and some paper towels, when they start to show that they are in their shed cycle.

Alot of these questions have been answered, better than i have, in the husbandry and basic care forum 'sticky' threads. Give those threads a good read and almost all of your questions will be answered immediately without having to wait for replies. The search function works great as well, found on the toolbar at the top of the page. Have fun with your new corn! :)

I prefer to use humid hides for my snake. I put one in the viv whenever I notice the snake in blue. I use damp sphagnum moss in a plastic food container with a hole cut in it large enough for the snake to get in and out.

Here is a pic of Caedus in his humid hide:

I keep my snakes in aquariums and when I notice them in blue I put a damp towel on top of the lid (covering at least half the lid) and haven't had any problems with sheds. My snakes won't use a humid hide and I don't like to mist their cages with water because it spots up the glass. It seems to take 2 days for the towel to dry and then I rewet it. It takes about a week for them to shed after you notice them in blue.

Good luck!

I put the lid on securely. But on a couple of occasions he has knocked the lid off. It is easy to clean up, so it is no big deal.

I cut the hole on the side. Here is a pic to give you an idea

Also, to get my snakes used to being in the humid hide, I replace the humid one with a dry one after the snake sheds.
