Can anyone ID this guy?

As a first time owner and not knowing morphs well, I was wondering if someone here could ID Fluffy for me. Also, I don't know what to compare to, whether the tail tapers or not so, sex please? I think he's male, but I'm not sure.

Where did you get it? If you got it from a pet store, it might be a butter... (I have never seen a caramel in a petstore...) Just my two cents, I could be wrong.. :poke:

Looks like a butter to me! As far as the tail taper, it does look to be male, but you'll want to take it to a reptile store and see if they can pop/probe for you.

the first set of photos make we want to say butter.. but the last set want me to say creamsicle... just being different again!!!

Looks like a Butter in my opinion.

You need a shot of the underside (ventral) so you can see where the cloaca is along with the rest of the tail.

but the last set want me to say creamsicle..
Seriously?! You can actually see the emoryi genetic code? I must have missed it?! :shrugs: Gah! I'm such an idiot! I never catch that stuff. ;)

it just looks more like a reddish- orange towards the end where most butters i see are yellow towards the tail... it might just be the photos... but it was just an option... and an opinion... you know opinions are like butt holes- everyone has 1 :D

So...everyone here is a butt!! hehehehehehhe

Hey we should say it an rare, expensive, yellow morph worth at least $1200.

Yep, well aware of that, problem is, some are smellier than others. :sidestep:

The real "problem" is that creamsicle isn't a look (and therefore not an opinion), it's a genetic distinction of an amelanistic cross between guttatus and emoryi.

PS. Opinions are more like noses, everyone has one, and you can really only pick your own.

it looks to have red eyes so must be an amel of some description if that is so, i would say butter.

The first 2 photos look like it's a butter, but the last ones, especially the third photo, seem to have too much red in the saddles for a butter. True, it is not as red and has too much yellow to be a "typical" amel, but not if it was an amel het caramel. And an amel het caramel might be confused, in coloration, with a creamsicle. I would highly recommend that you take some more photos, trying to get the coloration as true as possible.
