Cleaning snake's viv??? HELP please..

I recently cleaned out my snake's tank with a water and bleach solution and I also soaked the tank's accessories in the water and bleach solution. The tank is all nice and set up and my baby corn seems to like it, although when I open the lid of the tank, I can smell the faintest smell of bleach.... I get the most of it at the second I open the lid, but it's hard to catch a wiff of it anytime after. The lid is a screen lid so there's plenty of ventilation.

I was wondering if this is something to be worried about or if it's fine and will go away eventually?

I would take everything apart and wash it again just to be safe.

If it's not to much trouble I would suggest trying to run it through another rinse..if you can smell the bleach there is a good chance that there might be some lingering..and since snakes smell with their tongues..it's not safe to just assume that all the bleach is gone..if you can smell it that means there could still be a tiny bit there somewhere..I would run it thorugh one more clean rinse..tank and supplies...but that's just me..

Concerning tank cleaning, I was wondering, I had the bad idea to take the glue protector off of my undertank pad, and stick it under the tank... Bad thing is, it's electricity and I'm a bit scared of putting the tank in the bath now, 'cause I can't take the undertank pad off anymore! It's a 33gal aquarium, so it's pretty big... any clues on what I could do to make my life easier there?

I've been wondering the same thing.

I don't move my glass aquariums for cleaning. I use vinegar and water solution for the glass, soap and water for the accessories, and bleach only once a year. I'm really not a fan of chemicals. Everyone here cleans a little different, you just have to figure out what works best for you and your snakes. Novaslan is pretty popular, as it's gentler than bleach, but I could never get a hold of any where I live.
