Humid Hide instead of Water Bowl?

Haha! I put Dex back in his viv just now, and he went straight for the humid hide I made him, and was licking water from the top!
I haven't noticed any activity in the water, so maybe he's using it instead?
I got a Zoo Med snake starter kit that came with some water conditioner, so I put a drop in the water bowl just to try it out. Maybe he doesn't like it?

Anyways, he's a silly one.
 
I would just not use that after you are finished with it. I have been keeping herps for years and never had a problem with using normal tap water.
The only thing that might worth it in that kit in the long run is the UTH in my eyes.
 
Mhmm. That's basically what I got it for.
And, it comes with a crazy huge water bowl that's like a swimming pool for him right now. :p
I usually use bottled water, but I just changed the water and washed the bowl out.
I just thought it was funny seeing him lick the water from the top of the hide.
