Tank Cooling System?

Hi everyone,

I live in South Florida, and as many of you can probably guess, it does not get very cool here during the winter. An average day starts out in the high 50's, but can get up to about 75 to 80 degrees by mid afternoon. I am curious if anyone out there has ever found some type of a tank cooling system that can be used to drop the temperature of the tank. Ideally, I would like to have osmething that would allow me to brumate my snakes in boxes within their tanks, because I have a 55 gallon breeder tank which has plenty of room for both of them. Please advise!!! Thanks for the input, in advance.

I'm in Florida too, and just put mine in the third bathroom, close the heat vent, and open a window. It's on the shaded part of the block house, so it keeps cool all day. The snake room is kept at around 80* so the drop to 55 - 65*, with occasional 70 - 75* days, keeps them in brumation. Do you have a cold spot in the house? It'll be ideal temps starting this week, so place some thermometers around, and see what you have to work with...
