i had my corn in a room with natural light which was good... but moved him to another room which has light but not as bright is that a prop for the corn??? would more natural light be better for the corn?? the room is not really dark but the light is not great beacuse the light is coming true a sky light and not great light need the help please.... does a corn need alot of light ??

A corn doesn,t need light at all. Naturally, they are active between dusk and dawn.

I'd say natural lighting is good for any animal kept in captivity, just because of the whole natural day/night cycle. But Nanci is right, corns don't really need that much light. I'm sure the dim lights will be fine for your snake. Bright light can actually stress a snake out.

they don't need that much light. but i would say if there is'nt enough natural light in the room you can put an uva lamp inside the cage and put it on a timer 12 hours on 12 hours off this is very easy and you don't have to worry about it any more. i also use this lamp and they don't create heat only light en uva

If yours is a pet and you don't plan to breed it, light doesn't seem to matter. For breeding animals, photoperiod appears to play a role in fertility. I have one viv (for Boz) where it doesn't get natural light, and have lights on a timer in that room. Boz doesn't seem to care, but I figure that minimizing the differences between nature and captivity can't hurt and may help in small ways we don't understand.
