Monthly tank cleaning question?

So I have used 1 part bleach, 10 parts water to clean the tank...

But I don't like using bleach, I am always worried I didn't get it all out.

Can I just use dish soap next time?

or another safer product that's still cheap?

What are you washing out? I use liquid soap for my snake tubs. But I do use a spray bottle with 1:10 ratio.

if i dont have to big of a mess i just use water. i have never had mites in any of my vivs or anywhere so that was never a worry. and they never really make a mess with their water or feces so the substrate is all the ever needs worry there but it gets cleaned everyday. and sometimes i replace a bit of the substrate around their water bowls/food bowls for my beardies.

It's alright to use ammonia (windex for example) and then wipe down with water. Just make sure that the fumes/smell of ammonia is gone by the time you start putting things back.) I've done this for a long while and never had a problem.

I have been using vinigar and water mix and my corn is just fine. I have been using it sense I got him little over a year ago.

I have used simple green for our green ig for the last nine months. It is supposed to be nontoxic, so I just spray it, scrub it and place the ig back in. this is for his climbs, they have outdoor carpet glued on, so they are not so easy to rinse. He seems to do very well.
I've only had my corn since x-mas and have been cleaning up daily when I see something, so I'm not sure I would scrub the whole thing out unless there was a reason, mites, ants or something.
