my corn takes a long time to eat after she grabs and wraps up it takes her up to an hour to let go and swallow her pinky and yes im feeding live pinkys she is about 17 inches long still a baby

If you gave her defrosted, maybe she wouldn't spend so much time killing it. I've never seen any of mine hang on to a pre-killed pink like that.

I have a little girl on frozen / thawed and she holds on like there is no tomorrow, it takes a while for her to decide it's dead enough. I have another one that only eats live and does the same thing. It probably just depends on the snake.
You could always try to switch her over to frozen/thawed and see if it makes a difference. :)

Switch to thawed or prekilled, but don't worry about the time. There isn't anything wrong with that. She's just not the most voracious feeder in the bunch. ;) It happens. Just feed her at a time when you know nobody will be walking around to disturb her for the next hour or so.

If you're not already, you also might try feeding her in a non-clear container - I notice one of my boys will get around to the eating faster if he can't see movement outside.

I have a corn that "kills" his pre-killed mouse like that for about 20-25 minutes before he starts eating. It's perfectly normal. He just making sure that it's really dead.

thankyou so much for the info she eats at night when it calms down in my house already so there is no foot traffic im just glad its normal for her to hold on so long
