So, my friend Dave came over the other day. He loved my Vivs. The next day he tells me "I'm going to build one for Echo. Tomorrow".

Oy. Well, I wasn't doing anything Sunday anyway, so I told him I flat out wouldn't even let him go to home depot without me (which is a good thing, you can't trust the cutters and we had to go back 3 times to get things fixed). I also managed to round up all the tools he needed (which included a trip to Cloverdale in the morning to get the round drill attachment from a friend, and a trip to his grandmas to get an iron) and I gave him some of my left over stuff.

So, Dave had absolutely no supplies or tools when we started the day off. These things are so awesome and easy to build though.

So, Echo just has to wait a week for the glass track to get in. The tank is 48L x 24W x 12H, a good 60 gallons.

I'd post pictures of my tanks, but I don't have the melamine trim up, and it looks kind of trailer trash right now. I didn't think to do that BEFORE I glued in the plastic glass track, and now I don't know how I can iron on the trim without melting the track. Gah. At least Dave had the advantage of learning from all my mistakes.

I already broke off some trim -_-

And I used this guide, so helpful!

(except I put the top piece on so it would rest on the sides & back of the viv walls, and not just some screws)

And then Dave gave me his old TV and we drank a beer. The end.
