I love ferrets! Your's are adorable. I had a bunch of ferrets but my last one died 7 years ago and haven't had another since. When I was really young I had one named was Oscar and I thought that's what ferrets were so I called all ferrrets that, lol.

Tara probable could, but I'd never be able to deal with year round flea and tick season... :eek1:

My weasels loved their present! I so happy!! :dancer:

They are so cute!
I used to have ferrets and kind of wish I could again. They were a lot of fun and gave me quite a few moments of laughs/giggles.

I'm with you, Deb. I used to have a ferret and LOVED him. I wish we COULD have ferrets again. They'd be GREAT with the girls.

But their smell... which you can control but never completely get rid of, precludes such joy... :(

Our front office has flat-out said NO to ferrets because of this.

That's my issue too, Fred. I just can't get past it. I was wondering if was the males or just the females...is it both?

They are so adorably cute, though. They have so much personality. Are they litterboxed trained?

From what I understand, it is the males (I had a male) that smell the most... but even females carry the "scent".

My Chester was litter box trained to a point... I strategically placed several small pans with kitty litter in multiple corners of the house. He only went in those. He was such a good boy...

The girls smell much less....and cleaning daily or every other day is the key. They are really also less stinky if you don't bathe them often...that triggers the oils to flow. But overall the smell really is not that bad with regular cage cleaning. *shrugs* Then again...I am a "pet person" so I guess it never bothered me as much.

I used to own ferrets. I had the males scent glands removed which almost eliminated the odour. I used to love when they would bounce up and down and chuckle. The male used to fetch too. I found the biggest problem was that they got into everything. I had to put childproof hooks on every single cupboard door. But they sure provide a lot of laughs.
