This is going to be on TV. When it happened, we didn't know if she would ever be able to walk again. For sure not ride her bike. She wanted to sell all her stuff. This was one of the BEST, most competative members of the club. And then she started riding again, when it was time.

I love inspirational stories like that. Really puts things into perspective. Good for her!

Wow, I'm glad she is okay. That must have been very dificult to go through and she is very brave for getting back on her bike again and I'm glad she did she seems to love it a lot.

This is a little different, but my dad's tire blew out on his motorcycle while he was on a bridge and two of his friends had to lay down their bikes to miss him and another stopped to direct traffic and a drunk girl hit and killed him and that's the last thing my dad remembers. I spent a lot of time on motorcycles and I now how dangerous it can be. People in cars pay no attention and don't care about people on motorcycles or bikes, it's terrible. I always try to be very careful and give plenty of room to any kind of bikes especially around were I live we have a lot of cyclist and motorcycles and small roads.

Scary. I'm glad she didn't let herself quit for good. I hate it when I can't ride for awhile, she must have been going nuts.
I've been riding most days for the last 20 years and have had some auto/bike "conflicts". I've always escaped with just bruises, broken bikes(destroyed the side of a pick-up truck once). Most of the time our traffic is so bad it's slow, but sometimes they're zipping by at 60. That's when you just pay attention and hope everyone drives decent.
