it's no secret that I have wild mice roaming my house like it was a hotel for them. but this was just too much!! I sat a bowl of hot water on the counter and threw in a vacuumed sealed pinking and a fuzzy. I just went to check on the thawing process and a live mouse was DRINKING the water!!! *roll eyes* ugh too bad the little things are wild ... I would have a buffet for the snakes LMAO

Got to be cautious of the little buggers. They could bring in mites and stuff. Make your life miserable!! Should set out some traps!!

Good Luck

Wayne

I would suggest a semi-wild cat or a feral. Don't try adopting human-loving cats because they will sleep all day long and probably be scared of mice. LMAO!

sadly ... they have been around so long they know not to touch the traps. or the poison... my dog and my cat both hunt and kill them. but can't keep up with the influx during the cold months. I live downtown .... the darn things are everywhere!! I am thankful the possums haven't found their way in lmao.

sorry for the typos if their are any typing on my phone is a pita! lol

Maybe consulting an exterminator would be a good idea. There are traps that you can get that mice be fooled by. Live traps especially. I'd be trying to rid your place of the rodents. They can carry just too many diseases, not to mention fleas and mites.

I have been trying to think about how to respond without sounding horribly defensive ... and I give ... I can't. Sorry :awcrap: .....

I have had MANY exterminators in my home. Several different companies not just different guys from the same company. I currently have and have had for the last 3 years live traps, glue traps, snap traps and poison. I have spent countless hours searching my home for pencil sized holes and filling them. I have walked around the outside of my house looking for ANY little crack/ opening and filled it. Seriously if you have ANY ideas I haven't tried shout 'em out. I have even tried asking them to leave ... :roflmao: seriously I have! I think they have driven me to the brink of crazy. :poke:

I am FULLY aware how NASTY they are. :puke02: I get it!! Oh goodness I get it! I use a lot of bleach.... things get bleached here weekly. The little boogers STINK and they are LOUD! They carry all sorts of horrible things including something that messes with the respiratory system something horrible. I GET IT!!! I KNOW IT!! Unless there is a real life pied piper I will continue to do my best to control the mice ... but until the city can control them I know I am fighting an uphill battle.

*sigh* sorry :awcrap: .... sometimes I guess I just need to let it out :roflmao: Those stupid little things frustrate me soooooooooo flippen much!!

Now that being said I was just commenting on the stupid little creature drinking water that clearly had a dead one of him in it. LoL ...

Erica, that must drive you crazy! (((hugs))) That IS funny that the little vermin drank from his dead comrad's bath, though. Goofy thing!

I'm wondering if there's a type of repellent you can put around the perimeter of your house that would keep them from trying to get inside? Unfortunately, once they're in, the breeding begins. Maybe you need some of Elle's Furry Fuzzy Mouse Stomping Monsters to come over? ;)

My human cuddling lovey dovey flame point Siamese has no problems extermination whole mouse families from any vicinity!

We have a similar problem except with bats of all things, maybe its a Maryland, lol!! I too have had 4 exterminators out and have sealed all holes inside and out but we hear them everynight flying around in the attic where they stay unless I have to go up there and they fly down into the house while divebombing me which makes me scream like a girl...thank god I am a girl because the man of the house looks even dumber than me. We also have rats that live in my neighbors unkept yard and come in mne to harrass my dogs on a daily basis. We have mowed my neighbors yard on several occasions because he is elderly and it works for about two weeks and then they are back again so I feel your pain. Are you in a townhouse by any chance? We are and I know that is part of the problem. Thank god none of them have ever been seen inside nor poop which you normally find before the critter anyway, but it is only a matter of time I'm sure. However, I had to LMOA that the genius was drinking out of the water the pink was in quite ironic for sure.

Ohhh, LMAO! We had a bat, ONCE, and only ONCE! We went so crazy with our screaming and batting of tennis rackets, the poor then flew out and must have told all of his bat friends..."Don't go to that house, they're all crazy!" I love bats and have houses for them OUTSIDE, but I forbid them as house guests!

They suck as house pets and seem to be attracted to my hair for some reason. Everytime I have to venture to the attic at least three coming screeching at me and literally beeline for my head very scary. We too have traps and still can't see how they are getting in and out, but after 8 years in the same house I guess I am just used to them.

:roflmao::roflmao: That is so funny because a similar thing happened to me. I was sitting on my couch when this thing flew by and I thought to myself, "WOW, that a big moth!"

Then it dawned on me that it wasn't a moth and I was laying on my floor, screaming like a girl at my wife. She was running around the house, opening windows and doors and saying, "isn't he cute?"

I was still lying on the floor like a possum playing dead, hoping it wouldn't notice me! :awcrap: It flew out the front door, never to be seen again.

Robbie ... I ordered them a few weeks ago ... they haven't gotten here yet LMAO

No fields ... just a very crowded old city ....
The town is an old hub town for the Rail road .... so it's hay day was back on the late 1800's early 1900's. All the houses are either row, duplex OR VERY close to the one next door ...... I am in a single family house but I am close to the duplex next door ... which is actually empty and has been for 2+ years .... that doesn't help I am SURE!

Bats & Rats & Mice OMG!!
I would be sniveling on a chair in the middle of my kitchen holding not only my spatula, but a mallet, a few stake knives & lots & lots of cats around me. :(
