It's long. I've been reading it in my Palm for two days. I learned a lot. I don't want to spoil it. It has a lot to do with Operation Migration in particular, and endangered species and their management in the US in general. There are a lot of facts that the usual upbeat newspaper pieces about the cranes don't mention. WELL worth the time it takes to read it.

i've never been to necedah (though I only live about 1 1/2 hours away) but i have been to the international crane foundation in baraboo, wis which does crane conservation too. I love cranes, the little town i grew up in has a lot of swamp land and i've seen many cranes around there.
